Free Hot Tub!
We got an 8-seater hot tub for free on Craigslist today! Hurray!! It needs some light cosmetic work, and potentially a new motor - but heck, a few hundred dollars for a huge 8 ft by 8 ft hot tub?! Not bad. It will be a super swank apres ski hangout.
We rented a truck from Lowe's to get it - they only charged us $20, even though we didn't refill the 1/8th or 1/4 tank of gas and kept it for about 3 hours. Sweet!
With the help of our super wonderful neighbor Adam, we slowly blocked it up with cinderblocks, until at about 4 blocks high, they were able (with the help of the owners) to get it on the truck. When we unloaded it, we had neighbors aplenty to help. It will remain in the back alley, until Monday when we hire some people to remove our ENORMOUS dirt and debris pile in the back of our house. It will be a momentous occasion to have that gone.
